How the puzzle archive works
Each daily puzzle joins the Archive the day after it runs, once it is over everywhere in the world. Nothing is ever removed, so the Archive only grows and now reaches back to January 1, 2025. Every puzzle stays at its own permanent link, which means you can bookmark a date or send a friend the exact grid that beat you.
The year grid above colours every date by how it went for you: green if you solved it on the day it ran, purple if you solved it later as an Archive play, red if you ran out of mistakes. Hover any square to see its date and state, or open a month for the full calendar and that month's solve times. Puzzles you have already solved can be replayed as many times as you like.
Today's puzzle is free for everyone, no account needed. Archived puzzles ask you to sign up, also free, because your solve times and the grid above have to live somewhere: that way your progress follows you between your phone and your laptop instead of starting over each time.
